We’re sorry to report that Robert Fuller, Jr., former president of the Morgus Fan Club and the man whose tireless efforts helped pave the way for the ‘80s revival of MORGUS PRESENTS, is currently homeless.
As reported on NOLA.com, on Monday, August 16th at a little after five-thirty in the afternoon, a fire started in the washroom of the home that Robert shared with his ailing parents and their five cats. The fire leapt into the attic and raced across the house. Robert and his parents got out in time, with minimal cuts and singed hair. Unfortunately, only one of their five cats survived, and Robert was restrained by the police as he tried to re-enter the burning house to save his furry friends.
The fire was extinguished before it could consume the entire house, but there is extensive smoke and water damage, and most of Robert’s belongings have been lost.
The house was uninsured, and Robert and his family have been left destitute. The Red Cross has covered their motel stay so far, and Robert has had luck in convincing them to extend their support by days at a time, but it is not a long-term solution and the Red Cross hotel coverage could run out in very short order.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated, and will go toward helping Robert get back on his feet, as well as covering his medical expenses (he is a diabetic and on high blood pressure medication).
Please help Robert by using the PayPal donation button or by sending whatever you can to the address below. 100% of the monies raised here will go to Robert and his family.
Thanks,
